An Evening with Jyoti Mukharji: Author of Heartland Masala

We are honored to host Chef Jyoti Mukharji, beloved Kansas City cooking instructor, for a first-of-its-kind evening celebrating the release of her new cookbook, Heartland Masala: A Journey Through Indian Gastronomy, Culture & History.

This immersive event brings together a live cooking demo, storytelling, and book signing. Guests will experience Jyoti’s warm teaching style and explore recipes from her collection — from timeless Indian classics to playful Midwest-inspired creations.

Heartland Masala is a collaboration between Jyoti and her son, Auyon, weaving together 99 recipes, cultural essays, and stunning illustrations that capture the vibrancy of Indian cuisine and history through the lens of the American heartland.

For a half refund, please notify us at least 72 hours prior to the start of your class. If you're required to cancel within 72 hours of class time, no refund or ticket transfer will be issued.
